About me
Born in Italy in 1966, I followed studies in literature, journalism and communication and I have worked as journalist for various Italian and French magazines, especially writing on cultural matters devoted to figurative arts and literature.
My passion for the world of virtual images was born with the advent of the digital photography and the birth of programs graphic sketch's and photographic retouch: thanks to these means I have discovered the possibility of an endless and inexhaustible liberty of artistic expression.
To create images to me means to create emotions, charms, transgressions, dreams.
Through the images fiction, reality transforms in another thing, it becomes a world where everything is possible and which I feel free since fantasy hasnt boundaries.
My art transforms with technology I mean with the digital camera and computer. So, it deals originally with a mechanical and virtual art: an art that manifests it in pixels and that is kept in files. A "cold" art in the beginning in which the relation of the artist with the vision depends on technological means.
Difficulty and challenge is to give life to those images captured in pixels and give them life, it means to print them to become them tangibles, palpable realities.
After the conception and technological manipulation, is the printing the third and final process of my art. The printing process takes a particular importance since it transforms in reality all what was just virtual. For this reason Ive a lot of care with the material with which I work to reproduce images since this is the vehicle that makes it exist in really.
To some images I choose printing on art paper, to other ones I choose cotton. These two supports give to the images a profundity that isn't obtained using the simple photography paper that has tendency to diffuse the image towards exterior instead of absorb it.
In this site I wanted through virtual galleries, to show some of my works.
